Electronic Voice Phenomenon (E.V.P.) Subject: The Classes of Voices Definition: Electronic Voice Phenomenon (EVP) is the term traditionally used to describe unexpected sounds or voices sometimes found on recording media. EVP initially involved audio tape recorders, but in later years, virtually any recording medium became a vehicle for phenomena. This is a phenomenon that can be heard when playing your tapes back, but generally cannot be heard by the person recording at the time of event. By now you have to be wondering what the voices of souls on the tape sound like. In case you have any fantastical assumptions, read the following: * No, EVP's don't all have a baritone, reverberating timbre that would serve well in an amusement park haunted house. *No, the voices aren't slow and drawn out like the laments of a sheet covered ghost in a fraudulent sance. * No, the souls that come thru don't posses maniacal laughs that would make horror movies actors proud. The Classes: For starters, EVP does not sound like normal speech. All recorded spirits have a distinct sound that separates them from anything a living human could produce. Most notable is the speed of EVP. Unlike our voices, which are smooth waveforms, EVP tend to have a rapid vibration to them, almost as if the etheric voice boxes producing them were being jiggled at a few hundred beats a minute. Class A: Very clear distinctive voices/phrases, which is easiest to make out that none of the vibrations making up each of the words fade away and is very understandable by all who listen. Class B: Can be heard, however it fades in and out. The biggest problem with Class B voices is that two or more people listening to them may hear certain words or even phrases differently. Class C: Suffers from excessive warbling in and out of audible range, and are overall, faint. Class C voices are the ones that tend to sound the most whisper like. It sounds like someone whispering into someone else's ear from a distance and all you can hear is wispy sounds of someone's breath but cannot make anything out by anyone who listens. You can safely skip any Class C phenomenon that you capture, because it cannot be proven much less understood. All EVP's on this website that we post from our own library or EVP's that you have sent, will always be a Class A or Class B.
The following EVP's are from our private collection. Our Team Members have been very nice to share them with us for you to hear. Most of them are very clear with little background noise. After hearing these, will you believe that there is life after death? Is it possible that someone one the other side could be contacting you? Is it possible for entities to interact with you? You decide. (Please turn up the volume on your computer to hear the EVP's at their best.
These EVP's were obtained at Pinal Cemetery, by Kim Mann. Both were during seperate visits there.
"Harkey Daughters" Pinal Cemetery...10/15/05. My first trip there
"Giggles" Pinal Cemetery...12/30/05. This is a three part EVP really. Please turn your volume up rather loud to hear it all. You will hear "I am sorry"....then footsteps. (These footsteps are not the kind that you would hear someone walk up then walk away.....these are right at the gravesite.) Then you will hear children giggling. There were never any children with us on this visit. This is very clear with very little background noise I will say, this is so far my favorite EVP.
This next one was obtained at the Gila County Jail on a workshop investigation. Both were obtained in the women's area of the jail, and in one cell where we held vigil for most of the night
"Let Me Outta Here" Pretty self explanatory. Pretty clear as well.
