Or are you a skeptic? I can't say I absolutely believe in ghosts. I have had things happen that I can't explain but have yet to see a full body apparition. When that occurs the deal will be sealed. 6. How long have you been with EVPS? As long as there has been a EVPS. 7. Have you seen anything since joining EVPS that has changed your mind regarding ghosts or made you more of a believer? (Please describe) I saw a Shadow Person at Florence Cemetery which is a first for me and a step in the right direction. 8. Where do you see yourself and EVPS within the next year or two? NEWS FLASH ....... GHOST HUNTING WITH EVPS dethrones taps as NUMBER ONE paranormal investigations TV documentary series!! 9. Final thoughts……WE are the BEST! |
1. Name: Kim Mann 2. Occupation: Domestic Goddess 3. Position held within the group (if any): Founder/Director 4. What got you interested in the paranormal? (Please describe): As a kid, I had things that happened to me that I couldn’t explain. When I asked questions—I was told it was just my imagination or just in my head. I knew what I saw and heard was real and not just my imagination. As I got older, more things started to happen, and there were still no real answers out there. As I grew, these things just became every day occurrences to me and just accepted them. As an adult I did my own research and found that these things that happened were real and I just wanted more. In 2006, I formed EVPS in order to seek more answers and to help others understand why these things happen. 5. Do you believe in ghosts? Or are you a skeptic? I am a believer! These things still intrigue me and I just want more now. 6. How long have you been with EVPS? I founded EVPS in Jan. 2006—so since then. 7. Have you seen anything since joining EVPS that has changed your mind regarding ghosts or made you more of a believer? (Please describe) I can’t say it’s made me more of a believer—it’s just made me more aware. 8. Where do you see yourself and EVPS within the next year or two? The possibilities are endless! I’d love to see us with our own Paranormal Show with higher ratings than TAPS! But we all owe them for bringing paranormal into the main stream! I just see us being bigger and better each year! We’ve grown a lot in the past 2 or so years. 9. Final thoughts…… We have the BEST PARANORMAL TEAM in the nation! Our guys ROCK!!! They are all so much like our family and I am grateful for each & every member we have! Without them—we wouldn’t be where we are today!

Cyndi Ranes Research/Historian Manager Member Since Oct. 2006
Hi! My name is Cyndi Ranes I am your average stay at home mom with the exception...I believe in the paranormal! I have been with East Valley Paranormal Society for over a year now. I have been doing research for the team for some of that time. I love research. Besides finding out neat things about places and the history...it gives me something fun to do while the kids are gone (which is alot these days). Nice to feel useful! I really enjoy working with the EVPS team. I have never met such a nice group of people...and friends! I have always believed in the paranormal. I have seen and heard way to many things during my life not to. I have seen full apparitions, seen objects move, smelled the smells, been touched by, and yes I have paranormal happenings in my home. I wasn't looking for a paranormal group when I came across EVPS. I was just looking on line and doing some reading about the paranormal. I thought the group was a wonderful idea and emailed the directors from there. I was a little weary of talking to these people being they worked with the paranormal and all...but when I met them they were a bunch of everyday people just like me. I have found it wonderful finding and meeting people with the same experiences I have had. Not to often in life do you come across a knowledgeable bunch like these folks! I have learned a lot this past year and being the field of paranormal look forward to learning even more over the coming years with EVPS. I don't think the learning process ever ends with paranormal. We have only touched the surface with what we know now and what you can find in print. Not only do I believe in the paranormal, but I am a huge skeptic also. I know...pick a side of the fence and stay on it! I am a have to see it to believe it kinda gal...and have to question everything though! I have seen some neat things before and since joining EVPS. So many I couldn't name them all right now. We have been to some great places. Tombstone, Vulture Mine, oh gosh..so many places. I was shoved however while I was taking photos in a dressing room where Director Kim Mann was sensing a presence, and got a neat orb above her had in the same area while she was moving her hand saying...I feel something right here. I have heard feet walking in cemeteries, voices in cemeteries. Seen shadow people moving around in many of the places we have gone. Oh and don't forget the strange smells we have encountered like perfume, flowers smoke, booze...and some just fowl smells! Since meeting this great group of people at EVPS I have learned so much about investigating and the paranormal. It is great to have a team of people to talk with and compare notes with on this subject. Before I was always afraid to tell people what I was seeing and experiencing because if they were not there and didn't see it... they'd look at me like I had six heads. My whole family has experienced some paranormal activity at our home and elsewhere...so they have been very supportive with my activities with EVPS. When they told me I should go volunteer somewhere because I was getting bored... since the kids are older now... I don't think this is what they were thinking, but they are proud and interested in what I am doing. I hope within the next couple years we can do some more travel with EVPS and some fundraising along the way to get us there! I also hope for the future some fabulous investigations near and far! I don't wanna give away my ideas just yet! I like how our group has kept up to date on all of the research and research tools and how we always continue to learn new ways of investigation. I hope to stay in research or some sort of office with EVPS over the next few years. I really enjoy being able to help others with all the spare time I have on my hands! I hope we also have a chance to grow intellectually and spiritually along the way! Yes of course I'd like to be the next TV/Cable paranormal group...but nope sorry...wont cough up a ghost just for ratings...so they can take us as we are! And yes we are an attractive bunch!

Doug Davis Secretary/Archivest Member Since: March 2007
1. Name: Doug Davis 2. Occupation: Sales at local hobby store 3. Position held within the group (if any): Secretary/Archivest 4. What got you interested in the paranormal? (Please describe): I’ve had experiences since I was 3yrs old. Always grew up in a house that was haunted. I have witnessed everything from moving objects, disembodied voices to the apparition of a roman centurion. I was physically attacked by a demonic presence in the last home I lived in. IT scratched me about 12 times. That still didn’t scare me. 5. Do you believe in ghosts? Or are you a skeptic? I don’t know if I believe in ghosts or not, haven’t decided yet. Not really a skeptic either. 6. How long have you been with EVPS? I’ve been with EVPS for about a year or so. 7. Have you seen anything since joining EVPS that has changed your mind regarding ghosts or made you more of a believer? (Please describe) I haven’t seen anything that would scare me, but I have seen some things that are unexplained. I’ve seen and heard things that would be considered paranormal. 8. Where do you see yourself and EVPS within the next year or two? Who knows!!! 9. Final thoughts…… “I think what I’m saying is that, sometimes, sh*t happens, someone has to deal with it, and who ya gonna call? – Peter Venkman (Ghostbusters II)
Name: Kale Kelly Occupation: Mechanical Engineer Position held within the group: Technical Manager What got you interested in the paranormal? (Please describe): Questions, questions, questions.... It's a mystery. I want to attempt to solve it. Not to mention that it's all so interesting. My mother was always interested in sci-fi things as I was growing up. It was the norm to gather around the television and watch a special on UFO's, ghosts or the popular show In Search Of. So I grew up having an open mind to such things. Now that I'm older, I desire to be one of those that searches for the answers, not merely one that sits at home and thinks about it. Do you believe in ghosts? Or are you a skeptic?: I come from a strong religious background. I DO have a firm belief in God. All that aside, I've had enough personal experiences, reviewed countless hours of evidence. I'll merely say that I've reviewed and dissected enough EVP's and video to be able to comfortably say "Something very interesting is definitely going on." How long have you been with EVPS?: Ever since the voices in my head projected from the mother ship convinced me to commit lol. Ahh now wouldn't that be something lol? Actually, I've been friends with Rodney and Kim for quite awhile and had helped out in the past on misc. things. But with such a great group of individuals, how can one merely be a "part timer?" Have you seen or experienced anything since joining EVPS that has changed your mind regarding ghosts or made you more of a believer? (Please describe): Nothing out of the oprdinary. I've had plenty of experiences both in and outside of the team setting. They're all very unique. Where do you see yourself and EVPS within the next year or two?: Far down the road from where we currently are. We have a lot of really great things in the works. It's our mission to both help and educate the public about what may or may not be taking place in either their place of residence, business etc. We've taken great strides to achieve this. Whether it be through public education, presentations or investigations, we strive to attempt to find some of the answers regarding one of life's biggest questions and mysteries, "What's next?" Final thoughts…: I come from a very strong engineering background. I design, build and test products for several different companies around the world. The company that I work for is one of the leading global providers of engineered process solutions for the semiconductor, life sciences, medical, opto- electronic, defense, automotive and industrial markets. I think that in the paranormal field, having several different people from diverse backgrounds such as mine with different skill sets, working together, hand in hand to achieve a common goal is a beautiful thing. Everyone looks at something from a different prospective. I believe that in paranormal investigating, this is exactly what is needed. I think of myself as an "out of the box" thinker. A scientist may tell you that a spirit or EVP is derived from our own subconscious. Another may tell you that they are angelic or demonic in nature. Do they cross over from other dimensions of reality? Are they truly the voices and pictures of dead people that we are seeing or hearing? These are some of the questions I am hoping to find answers to. A lot of people out there may or may not agree with the many different ways that paranormal teams out there perform their investigations. As an engineer, I know and understand the concept of putting a well studied and thoroughly practiced process in place that works. Therefore, how can one discriminate against how one team may or may not investigate the paranormal when technically there is no scientific proof that ghosts even exist? And if according to science they do not exist, how can one claim to have a correct process in place that has been well studied, tested and proven to be the correct process used for this field of investigating? Interesting thought huh? Therefore, I believe that one must be open to new and fresh ideas when approaching this field. I have a personal philosophy I try to follow: "One who approaches a problem with a closed mind and eyes will never find or see the solution." Does this thought process qualify me to be an investigator of the paranormal? Sure, why not? Technically, anyone can be an investigator. Is there really a qualification? I think that one merely needs to have a desire to find answers and help people. It's how you perform the investigation that defines what type and how good of an investigator you truly are. My main focus is to help people have a better understanding of the paranormal and to attempt to answer some of my own questions along this journey called life.=)
Stephen Ryan Tech Support Member Since: Feb 2009 |
Kale Kelly Tech Manager Member Since: October 2009
1. Name: Stephen Ryan 2. Occupation: Business Analyst 3. Position held within the group: Investigator 4. What got you interested in the paranormal? I have had personal experiences with the paranormal and have always been attracted to the spiritual world. I have spent years reading and studying the field and wanted to put it to use. 5. Do you believe in ghosts? Or are you a skeptic? I am a skeptic believer. I believe in the paranormal and the spiritual but there can also be real world explanations to some activity. Each case is different. The pursuit of the truth, no matter what the truth is, and helping the client are the ultimate goals in each case. 6. How long have you been with EVPS? Feb. 2009 7. Have you seen anything since joining EVPS that has changed your mind regarding ghosts or made you more of a believer? From personal experiences I already firmly believe in the paranormal and spiritual. I was able to capture a clear EVP on my first investigation, which was a great experience. 8. Where do you see yourself and EVPS within the next year or two? I am hoping to grow with the group and follow wherever the path may lead. That we will continue to be positive ambassadors for the paranormal field. 9. Final thoughts: It has been my experience that many people dismiss unexplained activity as simply a trick of the mind, an over active imagination or just plain ridiculous. That is until they have their own experience and are forced to face the truth that there is more out there then we know. I am excited to have an opportunity to lend assistance to anyone looking for help. Knowledge is power and when you understand what is happening you can over come your fears. It’s great to be a part of the East Valley Paranormal Society team.

Trish Kelly Case Manager & Co-Founder Children's Paranormal Network Member Since: October 2009

<~~Kale is the guy on the right!! The other guy is Aaron Goodwin from Ghost Adventures

Name: Trish Kelly Occupation: Florist / Manager for Fry’s Married to Kale Kelly and mother to 6(yes 6!) children. What position do you hold in the group? Case Manager Co-Founder of Children’s Paranormal Network What got you into the paranormal? My first spark of interest in the paranormal was as a young girl. I had some interesting experiences that I could never explain. I would ask my parents for guidance and they provided answers as best they could. It was not until I married Kale and we started discussing different theories that I had a renewed interest. I started looking back and trying to find the answers that my parents could not provide. I still have not found all the answers I was looking for, but this is what drives me to keep looking. Do you believe in ghosts or are you a skeptic. This is a hard question to answer for me. I would say yes to both. On the skeptic side I do try to find a reason fist. When I can not find a reasonable (or logical) explanation I then decide for myself if it is real or if it gets heaped on the to “paranormal“ pile. How long have you been with EVPS? Kale and I have been friends with Kim and Rodney while working with another group. Kim was always a sounding board for Kale and I to bounce ideas and theories around. In a sense we have been part of the team longer than the official couple months! Have you seen anything since joining EVPS that has changed you mind regarding the paranormal? Not yet!! But I am waiting! Where do you see yourself and EVPS within the next year of two? I know in a year of two we will have the Children’s paranormal network in full swing. I would really like to continue educating the public and clients with more workshops and classes. Final thoughts: Thank you to the EVPS team for inviting me to join, making me feel at home and mostly for letting me be myself.
